Microsoft have just announced the public preview of Azure AD B2B Collaboration support for Google ID’s, this allows for a simple way to share applications and collaborate outside company boundaries. In the next steps for this Microsoft have widened the limits to allow users that have Google ID’s be able to collaborate, as well as the already collaborating Azure AD and Microsoft Account users.

Enabling Google federation allows the Gmail user experience even more seamless however it is worth noting that only users with Gmail accounts are supported. To enable this feature you simply need to log into Azure and go down to the ‘Organisational relationships’ option. From here its possible to view a list of users from other organisations and create custom ‘Terms of use’ and ‘Access review’ policies for guests.

Microsoft have also released some official supportive documentation on this feature which can be viewed here.
