Skype for Business Server 2019 Preview!

On the 24th July 2018 Microsoft announced the release of Skype for Business Server 2019 in preview. Some of the features of this include:

Cloud Voicemail – Skype for Business Server 2019 when paired with the Exchange Server 2019 will use cloud voicemail to provide voicemail services. This is an alternative to the current Unified wMessaging which will not be offered in Exchange Server 2019. With Cloud Voicemail voicemail messages will be stored in the user’s mailbox. If a customer is currently using only unified messaging and plans to migrate to the new Skype for Business server 2019 they should plan to deploy Cloud Voicemail first.

Cloud Auto Attendant  Microsoft will begin to support the use of Cloud Auto Attendant so customers who still use on-prem solutions can continue to use the latest versions of the Auto Attendant feature. Customers will need to use a hybrid configuration for users syncing to ADD.

Cloud Call Data Connector – Call analytics is intergrated into the experience for admin management in Office 365. With the addition of this feature to Skype for Business Server 2019 administrators now have the ability to upload call quality data to Office 365.

Streamlined Teams Migration  This is a feature to help On-Prem customers ease the transition to the cloud, Microsoft have eased the experience to migrate to Teams.
