risual Limited engaged in a project with a Support Service and Construction Company to support the business along its journey. The DMOD [Desktop Modernisations] project was put in place based on the Construction Company’s 2020 vision and the desired outcome requirements. The key element of the Desktop Modernisation programme was based around creating a modern user experience for the business and all individuals. The DMOD project improves organisation growth, increases security, reduces risk and reduces costs.

risual’s first engagement was to ratify the business objectives that the technology was expected to deliver against. Once the first engagement was complete and agreed, risual then moved onto the design and planning phase which was all tailored against the organisations decisions to create an initial pilot phase. Under the governance and leadership of risual Business Group Architecture and Engagement Management, risual designed and integrated multiple Microsoft technologies [mainly based on Windows 10 and the Office 365 product suite] and completed a pilot of 500 users which all finished on time and met the agreed budget – this also included night time migrations for minimal disruption to the business, assistance with comms and user management, and early life support prior to the migration batch tranches of users to BAU support.

The DMOD product that risual designed and introduced delivered improved productivity across the organisation alongside reducing complexity, risk and increased security. Increased security enabled the organisation to meet modern day security compliance requirements and by improving the organisations productivity it enabled users to collaborate and share data across the federation.
