Whist embracing the greatness that is Microsoft Teams I found the message prompt a distinct feature which appeared to be lacking.
When using apps such as Skype and Outlook you can leave these programs running in the background happy in the knowledge that if someone wants to contact you or an if you receive an interesting email you will be prompted in one way or another. When using Microsoft Teams however someone might post something in a channel you have decided to add and you wont know about it until you next check the Teams App.
The solution is to follow the channel once added, to do this simply right click the channel and choose the follow option. You can also choose to unfollow the channel if things start to get a bit boring. Now when something gets added to the chat you will be informed of the user who has posted and the channel name.
