The March 2018 updates for Microsoft Exchange have been released. This takes Exchange to the below versions:
Exchange 2010 SP3 Update Rollup 20 – Included in Windows Update
Exchange 2013 CU20 – kb4055221
Exchange 2016 CU9 – kb4055222
There are a couple of things to consider during this quarters update.
TLS 1.2 is now fully supported in Exchange on-premises. This is important in Exchange Hybrid scenarios, especially as the Exchange Online deadline to have TLS 1.2 enabled is October 2018. This article has a good overview to make the move to TLS 1.2.
.NET Framework 4.7.1
.NET 4.7.1 will be required in Exchange Server from the June Quarterly update. It will be supported in this update and it is recommended 4.7.1 is installed after this quarter’s update so you are ready for June’s.
All fixes implemented in the updates can be found in the KB links at the top of the page.
