After deleting a Lync 2010 Enterprise Edition Pool as part of a Lync 2013 Migration there were File Transfer Agent Service error events in the event log of the Lync 2013 Front End Server .
The Lync 2010 Front End Servers were removed from the Topology, the topology was published with no errors and the Front End Roles were removed from the servers.
I checked the CMS replication status using get-csManagementStoreReplicationStatus and the Lync 2010 Server was not part of topology which was correct.
I also ran Get-CsManagementStoreReplicationStatus –CentralManagementStoreStatus and this confirmed the Lync 2010 were deleted replicas.
After removing the Microsoft Lync Server 2010 Core Components from the Lync 2010 Servers the error was resolved on the Lync 2013 Front End Servers.
