Proud to have headlined Future Decoded

Now that the dust has settled…

For two days, the ExCeL in London was completely centered around digital transformation as both businesses and customers learnt about the different ways to embrace technological change. Over 9,000 people attended the event over two days, with plenty of freebies on offer, including the now infamous risual water. We totally transformed our stand at Future Decoded to reflect the business and our culture, which some alluded to when describing it as a ‘Shoreditch pub’. A red leather sofa, glass roundtable and a ‘secret’ meeting room all found their way onto the risual main stand. Furthermore, we had another four stands recognising our akin, nimos, minerva365 and risual Education solutions.

On the business day of FD, Chancellor of the Exchequer, Philip Hammond delivered an informative speech on cyber security as well as announcing the UK’s National Cyber Security Strategy 2016-2021. This is a massive step forwards, with social engineering on the rise. We welcomed the announcement, as it should lead to more secure data and the training of staff on the risks of spear phishing. Previously at Future Decoded, risual have aimed to drive their name and profile up by raising the brand. This year was a little different, being back as headline sponsors for our third year meant that people were already familiar with the name and now it was about showing how we can help potential customers with their own challenges of digital transformation.

We released our brand new corporate video at this year’s event, ‘Totally risual…’ which seen us adopt a completely different approach to previous years. At past events, we had ‘Let’s Get Risual’ and our first corporate video which has amassed over 100,000 views on YouTube. This time we enlisted the help of the fantastic Allan Buxton, who created something ‘totally’ unique with a stop motion video, using cardboard versions of our directors. Our expertise and broad knowledge helped to inform customers of the benefits and challenges of digital transformation as went send both our Head of Consulting and an Enterprise Architect to the event as part of our 20+ strong contingent. We had presentations in the Purple and Blue theaters, with a strong audience turnout interested in risual’s take on digital transformation.

We spoke to hundreds and hundreds of people over the two days about almost everything. We quenched the thirst of the attendees by throwing them risual water by day and risuALE by evening.
